The 22nd annual Ypsilanti Proud Day project took place Saturday, May 20 across a variety of locations in Ypsilanti.  Continuing the UTEC company support of this very important community event were 14 employees and five family support.  The UTEC team spent the morning cleaning and beautifying the Rose Garden at the Ypsilanti Senior/Community Center.

This important community event began as a class project of the 1995 graduating class of Leadership Ypsilanti.  Yearly, up to 1200 volunteers spend a full morning picking up liter, painting and planting flowers around the Ypsilanti Community.

After the clean up, all volunteers are treated for lunch at Passport Park.  For more information on the history and accomplishments of the Ypsilanti Proud projects please visit the A2Y Chamber website.
